Peace Fell Down in the Garden

Peace fell down in the garden today

I think it’s been down for a while

What can I say?

What can I do about it?

Hopelessness is in the air

Pervading every pore

Are we lost now?

Who “is” we anyway?

The washes over

Like a storm at sea

What?

When?

Who?

Will stem the tide?
